This cheat sheet covers the high school math concept – Set Theory.
In mathematics, a set is a collection of different or distinct objects. Set theory is a branch of mathematics that studies sets. Set theory was developed by German mathematician Georg Cantor in the second half of the nineteenth century. It serves as a fundamental part of the present day mathematics and we use it in almost every branch of mathematics.
A good knowledge of set theory will greatly help in solving the problems related to combinatorics, or permutations and combinations, and probability. Cheat sheets on permutations and combinations and probability will be uploaded on this website soon.
Sets are also used to define relations and functions, the very foundations of calculus. A cheat sheets on relations and functions will be uploaded on this website soon.
This one page PDF covers summarised theory and the most important formulas related to the concept. Keep it handy while you’re revising the concept, especially before an exam.
